As Senior International Student Recruiter within the International Marketing & Recruitment (IMR) team at HAN University of Applied Sciences, you play a key role in realizing HAN’s international ambitions. You are responsible for strengthening and expanding international markets and contributing directly to the sustainable growth of international student intake for our English-taught Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.

As Senior International Student Recruiter within the International Marketing & Recruitment (IMR) team at HAN University of Applied Sciences, you play a key role in realizing HAN’s international ambitions. You are responsible for strengthening and expanding international markets and contributing directly to the sustainable growth of international student intake for our English-taught Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.

WHAT ARE YOUR TASKS?

  • Your focus is on developing and steering international markets and improving recruitment performance. You operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, with clear ownership of market portfolio. You act as market owner for the target countries portfolio. You analyze recruitment funnels, market trends and conversion data and translate insights into concrete actions to improve performance throughout the year.

 

  • You are responsible for the development and implementation of market strategies for international student recruitment. Based on data, market insights and institutional priorities, you define target countries and recruitment approaches that contribute to HAN’s international growth objectives.

 

  • You represent HAN in international recruitment activities, key events and networks. Through professional representation and relationship management, both online and on location, you strengthen HAN’s visibility and reputation. Regular travel abroad is part of the job (indication of 15 trips annually).

 

  • You promote the HAN and its programs to prospective students and their parents in a professional, accurate and friendly manner. You know all the ins and outs of studying in the Netherlands and at HAN and know how to speak to the needs of international students.

 

  • You build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with international partners such as educational agents, schools and counsellors. You actively develop your network, identify new opportunities for cooperation and ensure that HAN is strategically positioned in its target countries.

 

  • Together with marketing colleagues and academic programs, you contribute to the development of effective market positioning and recruitment campaigns. You ensure strong alignment between marketing strategy and recruitment outcomes in target markets.

 

  • You continuously optimize your recruitment approach by monitoring results and adjusting tactics where needed to maximize impact and return on investment.

 

  • You make sure all leads are properly administered in our customer relationship management (CRM) system to improve the conversion rate.

 

WHAT ARE YOUR QUALITIES?


You are fluent in English and hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, international business, communication or a comparable field. You have at least 5 years of experience in international student recruitment, international marketing or a comparable international business environment.

You combine strong analytical skills with a commercial and strategic mindset. You are experienced in developing market strategies and steering on data, performance and results. You understand international recruitment funnels and know how to translate insights into effective action.

Building and maintaining international partnerships comes naturally to you. You are comfortable operating independently in international markets and balancing long-term relationship building with short-term recruitment goals. You are culturally sensitive, internationally oriented and motivated by contributing to life-changing opportunities for students worldwide. You are proactive, result-driven and structured in your approach. You are a collaborative team player who communicates clearly and works effectively with colleagues across departments. Regular international travel is not a problem for you (indication of 15 trips annually).

You have excellent command of Dutch and English (B1/B2). You are live in the Netherlands and are legally allowed to work in the Netherlands.

  • An appointment size of 1 FTE;
  • An appointment to the position of Policy Advisor B;
  • A gross monthly salary of maximum € 6.677,44 (Scale 11 of the Collective Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences) based on full-time employment (36 hours);
  • An 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus;
  • Excellent employee benefits, such as ABP pension insurance, discounts with various health insurers, (paid) parental leave.
